Why Use Packaged Equipment?
From efficiency ratings to a full spectrum of system options package systems will you meet your project requirements and can in many cases exceed them. Lean more about what Package System can do for you, your customers and the bottom line.

THINK ABOUT IT THIS WAY!

When explaining why going with a packaged equipment solution can make sense, we like to use the
Refrigerator Analogy
When it’s time to buy a refrigerator for our homes we don’t run out and hire a refrigeration specialist, electrician, carpenter and a plumber to build a simple refrigerator. Not only that, do you put all those expensive support personnel on a retainer or sign up for pricy support contracts to cover all future needs? No you don’t! That would be crazy and a waste of money. Refrigerators come as a self-contained units, factory tested ready to be installed with a warranty. The refrigerator has all the internal electrical wiring done, the plumbing has been install and the refrigeration system is charged. The system is built to be basically plug-n-play. The unit comes tested and with a warranty backed by the manufacture. A simple hook up to a water line, plugging into an outlet, and you’re up and running.
Packaged Systems offer the same benefits as a pre-built, factory back refrigerator in the above analogy. Why hire 10 different contractors, to cover the wiring, plumbing, controls, installation when you can buy a packaged system and have one contractor install it.
Let’s Talk about the Hospitality Market
The Hospitality market has its own very special set of needs and requirements when talking about HVAC. When your bottom line is directly affected by uptime/downtime, customer comfort, and usage costs just to name a few topics, you need to have a company working for you that understand this environment. In today’s ever changing world now is the time to get ahead of the competition with a stronger bottom line. Combining technology and proven systems that will meet your standards, provided maximum uptime and easy maintenance is how we operate.
It comes down to one simple question:
In The Hospitality Market, What Is The Number One Priority For Owners?
-Room Rentals!

Getting rooms ready to rent and keeping the revenue flowing is the number 1 priority for hotel owners. With that in mind it makes sense to keep the over head down and room repair time to a minimum. With packaged systems you get ease of installation and repair well offering compatibility with control systems at a lower cost.
We know that is only half the battle. In today’s ever changing world you need to have a guide that can help navigate you to the best manufacture and correct system at the right price that will meet your needs. Not all manufactures are the same, and buying the correct system to meet your requirements can be a difficult task. We work with many manufacturers that hold over 3/4 of the PTAC market. We are uniquely qualified to help you find the right system. So let us give you an example of what we are trying to say here.
When looking at Energy Efficiency of different PTAC brands they all have fantastic qualities! But what quality is more important to you and your project?
- Friedrich offers a universal cord for heating. This lets you adjust the electric heat just by changing power cords. Some models also feature thermostat controls to shut the compressor and fan off the moment the climate reaches the temperature you or your guests have set.
- LG offers a range of energy-efficient PTAC units designed for reduced energy consumption through convenient features. These include an Energy Saver option, rotary compressor, and customizable DIP switch settings.
- GE also has a reputation for producing some of the industry’s most energy-efficient units.
- But Amana might just have a real shot at the crown for energy efficiency. Their state-of-the-art DigiSmart Wireless Energy Management System can increase unit efficiency by up to 35 percent. The DigiSmart system includes a wireless thermostat control along with an occupancy sensor. Plus, with Amana, you can wirelessly connect all the PTAC systems in your hotel for convenient, quick adjustments.
Each manufacture (Friedrich, LG, GE & Amana) take their energy efficiency very seriously and not only offer different options but systems within the same ranages. AC Quest works every day with these manufactures and hundreds of customers to get them the best system at the best price.

Packages systems are very easy to install. Once you have an installed wall sleeve, all you need to do is slide in the PTAC in to the sleeve, plug the power in, hook the system up to environment controls and the room is ready to rent out.

Once you have the roof curb installed all you need is to set the DOAS unit, connect to power and controls and the system is ready.
